12/11/2003 - ECS - Welcome to our Maritime Book Review Page. We are reviewing so many maritime books these days that the Maritime Book Review pages now deserve a home page, so here it is. The above clipper ship picture is of the Challenge, built by the New York shipbuilder William Webb, from the book: Classic Sailing Ships, by Kenneth Giggal, painting by Cornelis de Vries. We will have a review of this wonderful book up on our Maritime Book Review pages soon. We encourage maritime book publishers around the world to send us copies of all the books that you would like us to review. The reviews usually go up on our pages within two weeks on the average.
